Spring Classes: South African Sign Language (SASL)
To support learners with special needs, particularly those who are Deaf, the Department of Basic Education (DBE) in South Africa has organized a Spring School Programme. This initiative takes place from October 1-5, 2018, with Schools for the Deaf hosting the program at their respective sites. The curriculum team has developed comprehensive scripted/signed lesson plans to be used during this program, focusing on three key subjects: English First Additional Language (FAL), Mathematical Literacy, and South African Sign Language (SASL) Home Language.
